GE launches its green innovation challenge

€160m worth of investment made available for green ideas in renewable energies, electric networks and ecohabitats
Do you have an innovative and ecological idea or project in the energy field? If so, General Electric (GE) would like to hear from you.
GE is organizing an ‘Ecomagination Challenge’ with the company and its partners prepared to invest some $200m (€160m) in your projects, with the aim of finding innovative ideas for the creation of cleaner, more efficient and more intelligent electric networks.
The Challenge aims to speed development in this area by inviting students, entrepreneurs, researchers, start-up companies and SMEs to submit their ideas.
Ideas are to be submitted in the following three categories: renewable energies; electric networks and ecohabitats/ecobuildings.
Successful candidates will be given the chance of developing a commercial relationship with GE, through the following stages: investment, authentication, distribution, development and growth.
